This policy explains how Ascendra handles information when you use our productivity app, including accounts, synchronization, and Kids Mode.
Depending on the features you use, Ascendra may process account identifiers and login information, profile details, to-dos, habits, calendar events, journal entries, achievements, progress, app preferences, and Kids Mode settings such as character names and appearance choices. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information in free-text fields.
Some settings and data may be saved locally in your browser. When you use an account or a cloud-enabled feature, associated information may also be transmitted to and stored on our backend and cloud database, including Supabase, to save and synchronize information across sessions or devices. Clearing browser data alone may not delete cloud-stored information. Some features may remain local-only or may not synchronize immediately.
We use information to provide app features, maintain accounts, save and synchronize content, display your progress and preferences, troubleshoot problems, and protect the service. Ascendra is designed to be ad-free. We do not use your journal entries or other app content to target advertisements.
Ascendra uses service providers for hosting and cloud functionality, including Supabase and backend hosting services. The website may also load external resources such as Font Awesome. These providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, under their own policies. We do not sell user-entered content to advertisers.
Ascendra may use browser storage and, where applicable, authentication-related cookies or tokens to keep the app functioning and maintain sessions. We do not use advertising cookies for targeted ads.
We use technical measures intended to protect information, but no online service can guarantee complete security. Access to your device, browser session, or account may expose saved information. Avoid storing highly sensitive information in Ascendra.
Kids Mode may save customization choices, including character names and clothing selections, along with related progress and settings. Children should avoid entering their full names, addresses, contact information, or other sensitive details into character names or free-text fields. Parents or guardians should help younger users review what they share. Kids Mode does not mean that information is stored only on the device.
You can edit or remove certain items inside Ascendra and clear locally stored browser data. Removing local data does not necessarily remove copies stored in the cloud. To request deletion of cloud-stored account data or ask privacy questions, contact the Ascendra development team through its official GitHub repository. We will review requests and explain any information that must be retained for operational or legal reasons.
Information may remain stored while an account or feature uses it, and limited backup or technical records may remain for a period after deletion. This policy may change as Ascendra evolves; the date above identifies the latest revision.

We do not guarantee that Ascendra will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from bugs.
Features may be added, changed, temporarily unavailable, or removed as Ascendra continues to develop.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the creators of Ascendra are not responsible for lost data, interrupted access, device issues, or other damages resulting from the use or inability to use the application.
The Ascendra name, logo, original code, design, and original content belong to the Ascendra project unless otherwise stated.
Third-party libraries, icons, and resources remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate licences.
These Terms of Service may be updated as Ascendra changes. Continued use of Ascendra after an update means that you agree to the updated terms.

A kid-friendly Ascendra experience
Kids Mode is currently in development. We're working on a simpler, kid-friendly Ascendra experience designed to make productivity tools easier and more fun for younger users.

Profile Syncing lets users sign in to the same Ascendra account on multiple devices and keep supported profile, settings, and progress data in sync. Cloud account storage, authentication, and the live frontend integration are now available in Ascendra. Cross-device To-Do syncing has been observed between a computer and phone, and a global cloud refresh button is available. Final testing is still needed for syncing in both directions, handling conflicts safely, and other supported profile data.

Update Horizon is Ascendra’s second major update, introducing new ways to reflect, focus, and recharge. The Time Capsule lets users save messages and memories to unlock in the future, Study Space provides calming background audio for studying or relaxing, and Unwind helps users slow down with peaceful activities after a busy day. Together, these features expand Ascendra beyond productivity and help users take care of both their goals and their well-being.

Update Genesis is Ascendra's first major update, focused on turning the app into a more connected progress system. It brings together habit streaks, expanded statistics, XP and levels, achievements, improved alerts, profile upgrades, and overall polish.
